Bwyzz - Green, Food & Fun.

's-Hertogenbosch, September 2009.

What a happy month. First of september 2009 I have founded my own company, Bwyzz, pronounced as Be Wise. Plans for this company existed for some time already, but now things have come true.

The company will, for the short notice, focus on consultancy, project and interim management in the fields of food, sustainability and creative conversion. In this weblog I would like to support the overall Bwyzz website with inspiration, examples, frustrations, happy things and so on. Bwyzz has already scored its first customer and is looking to extend this customer base on short notice, also aiming to increase the amount of employees in the organization in a fairly short period of time.

As a start though, let me explain you something about the name Bwyzz. Many people find it a strange first name (since they pronounce it like Bwiz), but once explained most of them enjoy it. I experienced due to the confusion effect (what on earth is Bwiz) works very well to attract attention in exhibition surroundings, especially when you explain them it is not Bwiz, but Bwyzz.

Bwyzz was found as a project name for an entrepeneurial idea me and a potential business partner named Arno Smeets have had for some years already. We initiated a business case to create a Cradle-to-Cradle campingbed. Aiming for 2 effects:
1) Can we turn a tough design into one produced with recyclable materials (either in eco- or technosphere)?
2) Can we create a product that can bring C2C closer to the final consumer.
The project was run in our spare time, since we both had a full time job at the time.

Bwyzz (Be Wise) was then found as a suitable name for a number of reasons:
- Be Wise as the Bees: Take nature as basis for design and development
- We make a bed for people to have a rest , relax, take a zzzzz.
- Be wise: make a sustainable choice

Now, with a slightly different business scope it is only the second part (the zzz) that is not fully relevant. We are not asleep, in contrary, we make things happen. We aim to be making a change.

The named business partner and me are still in search for a potential mutual business model. This how now however changed into a search to see if we can initiate a dutch vineyard in our city. More about that later.

Bwyzz, See you later.
